Davey Ray
has been hustling short tracks throughout the U.S. since the age of 11
when he started his
racing career. His stats currently include 35 career feature wins
in the mighty midget division, driving
for 14 prestigious car owners. On May 27, 2001, he became the
first driver to win with the MOPAR
midget engine at Angell Park Speedway and since then has won with 7
different engine types and 5 different chassis styles, proving to be a
very versatile driver. Ray is also a fan favorite Down Under where
he competes during the winter months in both Australia and New
Zealand. In 2011 he became
the first American to win the "Australian Speedcar Champion" three
times. For the 2012 race season, Ray plans to compete in as many races as he can with the USAC, BMARA, and
POWRi series and at
Angell Park Speedway. He hopes to add a few sprint car and silver
crown races into the mix as well.
